Alphabets help us write, share ideas, record history, and learn to read. They also help us learn new languages and share culture.
The Alphabet Song we know today was copyrighted in 1835 by Charles Bradlee in Boston. Its tune comes from an old French song from the 1700s, which Mozart also used for his music.
You may recognize the same tune from “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” and “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep”.
The Alphabet Song helps children learn their ABCs in a fun, musical way, and has been sampled and remastered across various children’s platforms in recent times.
