Science Experiment Fortune Teller

My science experiment fortune teller is a fun way to make science fun at home. Fold the fortune teller, play with a friend and then start experimenting.

The activities are designed to be easy to carry out using only inexpensive materials. Each can also be extended if needed, so it’s not just a quick five minutes and finished type of activity.

All you need to do is print the FREE fortune teller pack, which contains instructions for the eight experiments and a template for the paper aeroplane and paper spinner. Grab the materials and get started.

Science Experiment Fortune Teller

Water

Scissors

Paperclip

Lemon

Balloon

Ruler

The pack includes eight easy science activities.

Skittle Rainbow

Make a colourful rainbow with Skittles and water. This is always a fun science activity that looks great and always works!

Paper Plane Power Up

Use my handy template to fold a paper plane and then have a competition with a friend to see who can make it fly into a target.

Shadow Show

Design and build shadow puppets to create a shadow show outdoors on a sunny day.

Speedy Spinner

Paper spinners are easy to make and spin impressively when dropped from a height. Use my template first, and then experiment with spinners of varying sizes.

Small spinners spin and fall quickly, while bigger spinners spin and fall slowly.

Invisible Ink

Make your own invisible ink with lemon juice. The activity can be extended by experimenting with lime juice and milk!

Paper Fold Off

Try to fold a piece of paper 7 times. It’s harder than it sounds!

Fast Reactions

We love testing reaction time with a ruler! It’s easy to do, and you can get competitive with a group of friends!
